This article discusses the relationship between theater and internet. We present some examples of this relationship as space of research, dissemination and creation discus-sing the ontological tension that introducing the virtual audience presence has on the theatrical art, changing its form of existence in time and space. Our interesting is contribute to the understanding of contemporary theater – produced in our current society marked by immersion in the digital world - seeking to engage with the internet, its capabilities, structures and connections. For that critically examine four theatrical experiences in this field coming from Spain, Argentina and Brazil. From this analysis we discuss the issue of reproducibility of the theater via the Internet through the proposals of Walter Benjamin.
