O comentário a seguir descreve os objetivos e o processo de tradução de duas canções da Ludlow Masque (também chamada Comus) do poeta inglês John Milton. O objetivo central das traduções consistiu em gerar traduções homólogas que dessem conta dos relevantes aspectos formais e proposicionais de cada canção. Quanto aos aspectos formais, visou ainda gerar traduções que pudessem ser cantadas pelas melodias compostas por Henry Lawes para os textos originais.
