Abstract

The act of speaking and the enigma of translation are paradigms for
exploring the theoretical-clinical work constructed by Sigmund Freud. Based on the
premise that the psychic apparatus is also a language and memory apparatus, this
article seeks to analyze the acts of interpretation in the clinical setting of
psychoanalysis as a mode of operation with the syntactic analysis of spoken language
and memory inscribed within a language structure.
