Abstract

The creative process of interpretation experienced by singers constitutes the focus of this article. Some theoretical aspects related to the question are addressed as well as the viewpoints of three Brazilian singers - Marcelo Coutinho, Inácio de Nonno and Eladio Pérez-González about their interpretations of works by Brazilian composer Luis Carlos Csekö: Divisor de Águas, Canções dos Dias Vãos and Brazil S/A, respectively.

  • Lucila Tragtenberg, Pontifical Catholic University of São Paulo

    Lucila Tragtenberg, Soprano, holds a Master's degree in Singing from UFRJ, is a Vocal Technique Teacher at PUC-SP, and teaches Singing at the Seminários de Música Pró-Arte school (RJ). She is currently recording the CD Lucila Tragtenberg: Voice, Verse, and Reversal, approved by the Petrobras Cultural Program, with a release scheduled for August 2007.
