Esta pesquisa de mestrado tem como objetivo responder às seguintes questões: qual é o perfil dos professores nomeados no período de 2008 a 2011 na Universidade Federal de Ouro Preto (UFOP)? Quais saberes envolvem a atuação desses docentes? Os programas de mestrado e doutorado por meio dos quais esses professores se formaram ofereceram, além da competência científica, a competência pedagógica para a atuação no ensino superior? Quais as dificuldades e potencialidades dos docentes no processo de ensino-aprendizagem?
