This text consists of an interview with Professor Gabrielle Oliveira, from the Lynch School of Education of Boston College (Massachusetts/USA). PhD in Anthropology and Education from Teachers College, Columbia University (New York/USA), the interviewee conducts research on immigration and mobility. Her experience includes gender, transnationalism and bilingualism, focusing on Latin America. The interview was conducted electronicly in June 2020 and deals with the repercussions of the Covid-19 pandemic on educational processes for the different audiences attended by the university in which the interviewee works this year. The interview reveals that the public health crisis has unevenly affected the students with whom the teacher works. However, immigrants, foreign students in academic mobility and people from families in situations of social vulnerability were the ones who presented the greatest difficulties in adapting to alternative educational models during the pandemic period.
