Abstract

This study is a bibliographical survey on the history of health care and the nature of teaching nursing care. The theoretical framework used is the liberation teaching of Freire1,2, the understanding of social dynamics by Vasconcellos³ and the historical, social and political basis proposed by Gonçalves4. It is a pedagogical proposal for the understanding of the act of educating as care, and care as the act of educating.
