Critical Reflections From Extensionist Practice With Undergraduate Students

This article presents an experience in the university context that integrates teaching, research and extension. The impact of digital media in the field of visual arts is discussed in relation to the undergraduate course Laboratory of Art and Telematics in Visual Arts, which includes an extension workload. The aim is to think about art on the internet today, positioning the term telematics in the context of post-internet, a term that emerges with the inevitable presence of digital technologies and connection in our daily lives. The process of platformization of the network and its dominance by big tech has produced critical consequences. We propose to think about how it is possible to use the web to experimentation and circulation digital art, also circulating the production of knowledge inside and outside the university.
