Resistência, identidade e improviso na construção de rimas free style no Duelo de MCs

Duelo de MCs is an cultural event that takes place since 2007 in public spaces of Belo Horizonte city, whose main attraction are the fighting between improvisers who use the free style of rap music variant to build their improvisations. Participants of these battles of rhymes generally use of three key features that will alternate in the composition process of a good improvisation: the direct attack on the opponent, the self-promotion and the messenger of otherness. This article presents a study of improvisational aspects observed in the fighting from the systematization proposed by Muniz (2015).
