Manuscript Preparation

1- TEXT ENTRY

One must use the latest version of Microsoft Word. Times New Roman font. Size 12. Spacing 1.5. Justified alignment. A4 paper size. All margins should be 2 cm. Indent to 1 cm. Numbered pages at the bottom right. All lines numbered sequentially. Authentic papers must be submitted with a maximum of 15 pages and Scientific Communications in a maximum of eight pages. Maximum size of 2.0 MB.

2- AUTHORSHIP

In the evaluation version, the authors' names should be removed from the text. Upon approval, the author's names will be included. However, only authors registered at the time of article submission via the OJS platform may be included in the version for publication. All authors must include the ORCID (https://orcid.org/signin )  and URL for access to the lattes curriculum. The maximum number of authors is TEN. Attach the Declaration of Authorship and Responsibility and Conflicts of Interest signed by each author. Information on what is considered authorship can be obtained at:

3-TEXT STRUCTURE

a) Title and subtitle (if any) 

Bold, centralized, Scientific name for unknown species only.

b) Abstract

The word Summary is left-aligned and bold. Justified text. Minimum of 140 and a maximum of 250 words. Should not contain quotes. It should present the objectives, methodology, results / discussion, and conclusion. For texts written in Portuguese or Spanish, the final version should present an Abstract. For texts written in English, the final version should include Summary.

c) Key words

Maximum of three to five words. Separated by a dot (.) Avoid title words. For texts written in Portuguese or Spanish, the final version should present Key words. For texts written in English, the final version should have Keywords.


d) Introduction

The word Introduction is left-aligned and bold. It should present the theme, the research problem, and the literature review. May contain quotes. Objectives should be in the last paragraph of the introduction.

e) Material and Methods.

The words Material and Methods are left-aligned and bold. The left-aligned items and sub-items. Bold. Describe the material and methods used. A brief indication of the themes and processes. Must contain quotes. Submission to statistical analysis. Process and code numbers and approval committees with humans or animals.


f) Results and discussion.

The titles Results and Discussion are left-aligned and bold. Display the results in Tables and Figures. The discussion of the results should be based on the scientific literature.


g) Conclusion.

The word Conclusion is left-aligned and bold. Use the present tense. Present the answer to the problem proposed in the Introduction. Highlight the conclusions substantiated and supported by the Discussion.


h) Acknowledgments (Optional). The word Acknowledgments is left-aligned and bold. Thanking people and / or entities related to the work as a contribution.


i) Funding (Optional.)

The word Funding is left-aligned and bold. The funding agencies that participated in the research should be cited.


J) Ethics Committee Approval.

The words Ethics Committee Approval are aligned to the left and in bold. Left alignment. Bold. Cite the approval of the research by the Institution's Ethics Committees, with humans or animals.

 

K) Ilustrations and equation

Name illustrations by Tables and / or Figures only.

Illustrations and equation models are available to assist in the elaboration of manuscripts.


Figures (Click here for models)

They are inserted in the text, next to the mentioned passage. They are centered on the page. The title should be centered at the top with sequential numbering. Below the illustrations: Caption, Notes, and other pertinent information. Figures: Charts, Formulas, Blades, Charts, Figures, Drawings, Engravings, Maps, Photographs, etc. Graphics generated in MS Excel. Photographs should be in separate files. Figures in GIF or JPEG formats should have a minimum resolution of 300 dpi.

The text is inserted next to the mentioned passage. They are centered on the page. Generated in "Table" in Word. Cited in the text. the title is centered at the top with sequential numbering. Below Table: Caption, Notes, and other pertinent information. It is not advisable to paste Figures as Tables.

Equations (Click here for models)

 They are written in Word Equation editor, left-aligned in the text and numbered and preceded by the acronym “Eq.” In parentheses. (Eq. 13) Size standard: Full = 12 ptSubscribed / superscript = 8 ptSub-subscript / superscript = 5 ptSymbol = 18 ptSubsystem = 14 pt

Use value units in accordance with the international unit system.

m)-Acronyms and abbreviations

Define the meaning the first time you cite after acronym or abbreviation in parentheses.

n) Quotes (Examples of citations are provided to assist in the preparation of manuscripts).

Use the author-date method. Last name of author and year of publication. Text is documented by citing the author and date. Cite the original document. Do not use "quoted by" or "Apud." Cite only consulted works. You can use "et al." Only in citations.

 

o)References (Examples are provided to assist in the preparation of the manuscripts.

The word References is left-aligned and bold. Default author-date. References of quoted material only.

Refer to all authors.Forbidden to use of “et al.” In References. Display the Full list in alphabetical order. Recommended using DOI. Summarize links using their own applications.

The authors are responsible for the accuracy of their references.

Updated references, preferably in the last five years.

Abbreviate only the names of the authors. Journal titles in full. Do not use upper case (upper case).

Separate authors by semicolons. Do not use (&) in citations or reference list.

Do not use italics or bold to highlight any part of the References.

Use a "comma" to separate title and volume from the journal.

Separate journal volume numbers from pages by a colon.

Use full page numbers.

Separate page numbers by a dash (-) start page and end page. Indicate the edition from the first edition.
