In this paper we present the activities deloped by the Group of Studies and Researchs in History of Education of FAE-UFMG and the themes and concepts focused by the members of the group. The researches study the schooling in Brazil, in particular the state of Minas Gerais in the last two hundred years. Our main is to analyse and to discuss the meaning of the schooling of different social subjects and impact in the society.
