The analysis object of this paper is Florestan Fernandes sociological production in the forties and sixties, specially from 1941 to 1964, showing his incursions to the educational problematic. The text has been built in a way that it suggests the education was present in the authors work in different moments, talking on several meanings and forming a rich asset to the Education Sociology field. I take the possibility of apprehension of Florestan Fernandes sociological contribution, linking it also as belonging to the Education Sociology field.
