The Fourth Meeting of Latin American Composers and Performers, held from May 25 to June 1, 2002, at the Foundation of Artistic Education in Belo Horizonte, featured a series of concerts with works by Latin American composers, including electroacoustic and non-electroacoustic pieces. The event began with an experimental piece by Teodomiro Goulart and included performances by Dante Grella, Flo Menezes, Rodolfo Coelho de Souza, among others. Although the Sérgio Magnani Hall was praised for its acoustics, it was not considered ideal for electroacoustic works. The event sparked debates on contemporary music and was well-received by an enthusiastic audience. Pianist Berenice Menegale, responsible for the Foundation, was recognized for her work in promoting contemporary music in Minas Gerais.
