Abstract

This article deals with a two-pianist case study involving the learning and memorization of an atonal work - Variations Op.27 for piano by Webern. An analysis of the work was used as a tool to develop cognitive elements.

  • Salomea Gandelman, Uni-Rio

    master in Communication and Assistant Professor of the Piano Bachelor's Program and the Graduate Program in Music at Uni-Rio, is the author of numerous articles in the journals ART (UFBa), DEBATES (Uni-Rio), and BRASILIANA (Brazilian Academy of Music), as well as the book 36 Brazilian Composers - Works for Piano (1950-1988), published by Funarte and Relume-Dumará.
