Livros didáticos baseados em apostilas: como surgiram e por que foram amplamente adotados

Livros didáticos baseados em apostilas de cursinhos foram majoritariamente adotados no período que antecedeu a inclusão da Física no PNLEM, apesar de criticados em trabalhos científicos e documentos de propostas oficiais. Este trabalho busca os motivos dessa aceitação, focalizando o Fundamentos da Física (FF), protótipo desse tipo de obra, lançado em 1975. Discute-se o ensino de Física no Brasil, destacando seu papel de ferramenta de diferenciação no acesso à universidade. Relaciona-se o surgimento e sucesso comercial do FF com as condições do Brasil na década de 1970 do século XX, lembrando que seu lançamento foi contemporâneo da onda de renovação do ensino de Física, liderada pelo PSSC. Aponta-se que a disciplina de Física nesse tipo de livro é tratada como uma técnica de resolução de exercícios, na qual os assuntos são compartimentados ao extremo. Sugere-se que essa abordagem favorece o poder do professor na sala de aula, o que pode ter viabilizado o exercício da docência por profissionais inexperientes e inseguros trabalhando com alunos de baixo capital cultural.
