Abstract

This research was concerned with the experiences of women facing aesthetic or repairing breast plastic surgery, their decision making process and their expectations and feelings about the surgery. This is an Assistance Convergent Research (ACR). Twelve women aged from 21 to 49 participated in this study. The data were obtained through interview and analyzed in accordance with ACR. The results showed that women that made aesthetic or repairing breast plastic surgery intended to fulfill their physical and psychological needs and their main purpose was personal accomplishment. Some similarities and differences were observed between the two types of plastic surgery. The research concluded that nursing care can contribute to these women's physical and mental balance.
