Notes on the teaching of History in times of BNCC and High School Reform
Abstract
The article is the result of a qualitative bibliographical and documentary research that sought to understand the place of History in the school curriculum, considering the National Common Curricular Base of Elementary and High School Education, approved in 2017 and 2019, respectively, as well as the changes that occurred in the Education curriculum through Law 13.415/2017. The main results indicate that the BNCC and the High School reform diminish the role and purposes of History in the school curriculum, which is now marked by neoliberal rationality which values more pragmatic training processes aligned with the interests of the culture of contemporary capitalism.
