This article presents an account of a professor's experience in teaching a Final Course Work discipline, entirely in distance learning, in a specialization course. Through a case study, the methods and instruments used by the professor throughout the course were analyzed for guidance, communication and interaction with students. The study has a qualitative and quantitative approach through observation techniques and documentary research, using as a main instrument a semi-structured questionnaire directed to the students at the end of the discipline. The used methods in the discipline are presented and analyzed, in the perception of the supervising teacher and in the evaluation of the supervised students. We highlight the adaptability of students regarding digital tools and the interaction of students with the teacher. Despite being exclusively online, it did not cause any losses and, at the same time, increased the students' autonomy in the management of activities and time.
