MAPEAMENTO DE PERFORMANCES COM BASE EM MINDFULNESS

Resumo

Neste artigo apresento o projeto, mindfulness and Performance Project (MaP) 3 , da Universidade de Huddersfield. Iniciativa que teve como objetivo delimitar o campo de prática, assim como relatar e explorar algumas das implicações, do que pode ser chamado Performances com base em Mindfulness. Ao contextualizar este trabalho junto a crescente literatura médica e terapêutica, que aborda intervenções com base em mindfulness, exploro algumas definições deste conceito e analiso o quanto a ciência da contemplação pode influenciar e guiar novos trabalhos teatrais. Considerando a emergência de uma nova disciplina, Estudos Contemplativos, também sugiro que as performances baseadas neste treinamento têm um papel significativo na pesquisa e prática atuais ligadas a aplicação de mindfulness num contexto cultural mais amplo.
