Due to the popularization and development of artificial intelligence tools, a wide variety of ways to integrate AI into education have emerged. A key example is the ability to create personalized instructional materials tailored to the specific contexts of each individual. With this in mind, the present study aims to identify and analyze the benefits and application strategies of AI in the development of instructional materials. To this end, a scoping review was conducted to map important aspects of the topic. Following the application of inclusion and exclusion criteria, 28 articles were selected for this study. The analysis of the results revealed common trends among the reviewed studies, such as the motivation for using AI to create instructional materials and the most frequently used tools.
