This paper deals with critical analysis of management current proposals for professional education in Brazil by Lei de Diretrizes e Bases da Educação Nacional (Bases and Guide-lines Law for National Education), particularly projects having as the starting-point multilateral financing agreement such as the PROEP - Programa de Reforma da Educação Profissional (Reform Program for Professional Education). It takes into account, as comparable reference, some fragments of management practices observed in portuguese professional schools, national and local managers´voicing their opinions about them, and also recent reflections of sholars belonging to Portuguese academy. Here as much as there experiences undertake as central axes school educational projects and going into partnership, under conceptions not always clearly defined, but very much differentiated, trying to match contradictory framework such as well-being and market, lliberalism and socialism, and bearing on pressures brought by major financiers, under State´s hinder. A comparison of those experiences from a sociological point of view, talking into account close scrutiny of the contexts in which they achieve, provides with meaningful contributions for an abjective assessment of their characteristics and aftermath, and may be the basis for discussions with regard to salvation management models proposed in the educational setting.
