Masacre de Puerto Montt: Apuntes en torno a la reconstrucción histórica del arte no-objetual
Abstract
En los últimos años, los museos han comenzado a reconocer la necesidad de adquirir, catalogar yexhibir documentos relacionados con las así llamadas prácticas conceptualistas latinoamericanas. Lo
que caracterizó a estos comportamientos vanguardistas de ruptura fue su carácter efímero, concep-
tual, inmaterial, performático o no-objetual. La reconstrucción de estos objetos documentales y su
exhibición en tanto que obras de arte conlleva una serie de problemáticas curatoriales y catalográ-
ficas, ya que su regreso al museo abre la pregunta por su actualización ya sea como obras de arte o
como documentación artística. Este breve texto toma como ejemplo la reconstrucción de Masacre de
Puerto Montt (1969) del artista uruguayo Luis Camnitzer, y abre una serie de interrogantes en torno
a la reinstalación museográfica de documentos.
