The present study is a narrative analysis that was proposed as a closing activity of the discipline “Narrative Research”, of the post-graduation program in Linguistic Studies of the Federal University of Minas Gerais (UFMG) that occurred in the first semester of 2019. In the text, the concept of narrative research is briefly explained, as well as some specific questions encountered during the reading and analysis of a digital technology learning narrative of a graduate student from this institution. Some points explored in the analysis are: metaphors, historical landmarks, small histories and other observations. In addition, in the conclusion a comparison of the analyzed narrative with the life trajectory of the author of this text is made.
