About the Journal

Múltiplos Olhares em Ciência da Informação is a scientific publication magazine in electronic format with open and free access linked to the School of Information Science at the Federal University of Minas Gerais. It promotes scientific communication of research productions by undergraduate and postgraduate students and teachers in the field of Information Science.

In 2020, the Journal was integrated into the UFMG Journal Portal and began the process of continuous publication and attribution of DOI in all publications. During this four-year period (2021-2024), it underwent reformulations involving team qualification, updating of guidelines for authors, adjustments to the editorial flow and layout and actions for scientific dissemination. It was indexed and preserved in Latindex, DOAJ, EuroPub, Oasisbr, Diadorim, Cariniana and Miguilim and started to adopt open science practices, resulting in greater quality control of manuscripts, reducing the average evaluation time and optimizing all editorial processes.
