  • Fausto Borém , Federal University of Minas Gerais

    Fausto Borém is a professor at the UFMG School of Music and a researcher at CNPq. He created and edits the journal Per Musi, established the Master's program in Music at UFMG, and coordinates the research groups ECAPMUS (Studies in Motor Control and Learning in Musical Performance) and PPPMUS (“Pearls” and “Pickles” of Musical Performance). He publishes works in the areas of performance, composition, musicology, ethnomusicology, and music education. As a double bassist, he has received several awards in Brazil and abroad.

  • André Cavazotti , Federal University of Minas Gerais

    André Cavazotti is an Adjunct Professor at the UFMG School of Music. He holds a Ph.D. in Music from Boston University (1998), and his doctoral thesis is a stylistic study of the Sonatas for violin and piano by M. Camargo Guarnieri. He earned a Master's degree in Music from UFRGS (1993), studying violin with Professor Marcelo Guerchfeld, and under the guidance of Dr. Celso Loureiro Chaves, he defended his master's dissertation, which investigates the use of serial processes in the songs from the LP Clara Crocodilo by Arrigo Barnabé. His activities as a violinist have taken him to perform recitals and concerts in various cities in Brazil and the United States.
