Applied research on free ornamentation by addition and subtraction of notes in Bach´s Gigue and Sarabande from the Suite for Violoncello # 1, transcribed for the double bass. It also includes a historical performing practice context, the freedom of interpretation in the various periods, recent information on the performance of the six Suites for Violoncello by Bach on the double bass, and several examples of ornamentation.
