Performing arts, modes of perception and contemplative practices
Keywords:
performing arts, perception, meditationAbstract
In this article, I develop a critical point of view about the expansion of meditation techniques in the West. Based on this, I present performative arts as a field of contemporary culture in which the dialogue with contemplative traditions can be deepened. Finally, I consider contemplation as a mode of perception that can be cultivated, exploring its potential in the art of the actor.
