This text presents a reflection about the event “Arte no Aterro – um mês de arte pública”, realized by Frederico Morais in 1968, from the relationship between art, education and politics. This research explains how governmental anti-democratic and authoritarian political actions can point ways for acting of teacher and artists in times of oppression. For that, approaches the question of teaching visual arts, and also, a thought, about the necessity for a political resistance to permanent artistic and educational acting.
