In addition to qualifying a psychopathological structure, the term perversion, in general, refers to something that causes repulsion or is condemnable. But the term can assume positive connotations. In this article, it is associated with the idea of path and linked to artistic creativity. A reading of the work and the main character of the hybrid novel “Woman’s World: a graphic novel”, by British writer and graphic designer Graham Rawle, is proposed. The book was published for the first time in 2005, consisting of more than 400 pages constructed one by one using clippings from women's magazines from the early 1960s. The concept of mise en abyme is associated with the perversion in conjunction with artistic creation, and literally configured at the end of the article.
