O CICLO DESTRUIÇÃO/CRIAÇÃO NO CINEMA

Could the film “life cycle” release it of its condition as a “non-auratic” object? The status of the filmic element has changed since Walter Benjamin wrote his famous essay “The Work of Art in the Age of Mechanical Reproduction”. Working with the principles set by the author, we will demonstrate how the film can now be considered endowed with aura. These issues will be approached in the light of the political context of the period in which Benjamin produced his text, and reviewed from the perspective of Pier Paolo Pasolini and George Didi-Huberman, thinkers of cinema and the arts in general.
