Entre autómatas y fantasmas
la inteligencia artificial y la crisis del trabajo creativo

Partiendo de la huelga de guionistas y actores en Hollywood y de la primera AI Fashion Week – acontecimentos que tuvieron lugar en 2023 –, este artículo investiga el impacto de la inteligencia artificial generativa (IA) en el trabajo creativo. Para lograrlo, desmitifica la IA recurriendo a sus elementos constitutivos, descubriendo, por un lado, la inmensa y variada cadena de explotación del trabajo humano que se esconde bajo el barniz de la “inteligencia artificial”; y demostrando, por otro, cómo la IA depende – para su entrenamiento y funcionamento – de la apropiación previa e indiscriminada de toda la cultura humana disponible on line. La conclusión es que la IA, al apropiarse del trabajo no acreditado y no remunerado de generaciones de artistas humanos, cumple la función de devaluar – o sustituir por completo – el trabajo creativo especializado.
