Quais são as Representações de Problemas e os Pressupostos sobre Gênero Subjacentes à Pesquisa em Gênero na Física e no Ensino de Física? Uma Revisão Sistemática da Literatura

Resumo

Este artigo apresenta uma revisão sistemática da literatura brasileira e internacional sobre pesquisa em gênero na física e no ensino de física publicada na última década (2010–2019). Adotamos uma abordagem analítica pós-estruturalista para discutir pressupostos sobre gênero e formas de problematização das desigualdades de gênero na física, referidas como representações de problemas, subjacentes a cento e trinta estudos. Os resultados mostram que a maioria (76,9%) dos estudos pressupõem um modelo binário de gênero que restringe “gênero” às questões específicas do sexo feminino. O “problema” é representado como o baixo número de mulheres seguindo carreira na área. A “solução” implícita é atrair meninas para a física e reter acadêmicas nas suas carreiras. Cerca de 22,3% dos estudos pressupõem “gênero” como um constructo relacional que constitui relações de poder entre indivíduos, os quais podem ou não se conformar às expectativas sociais hetero-cis-normativas. O “problema” é representado como a reprodução de discursos de gênero e estereótipos pelas e acerca das culturas da física e do ensino de física. Apenas um estudo pressupõe “gênero” como um dos vários eixos de um sistema de poder complexo e dinâmico que restringe a produção de conhecimento na física, então representando o “problema” como a maneira pela qual teorias e práticas são perpetuadas na área. Concluímos que um apelo por maior diversidade de gênero na física e no ensino de física deveria não apenas abordar concepções hetero-cis-normativas de gênero, mas também desafiar as restritas e específicas normas culturais, sociais e epistemológicas subjacentes à comunidade da física.
