Mechanical learning and dance
tensions between teachers and students

This article aims at discussing the relationship between mechanical learning and the different ways of understanding the content repetition mechanism within the pedagogical space dedicated to the education of dance artists. It deals with other issues as well, such as the explanation method (the teacher who explains things to the students), the conversation between teacher and students, the way of seeing the spaces where the relationships between teachers and students occur, and the teaching materials. This article puts that these issues that can lead us away from automatic practices. The reading of specialized bibliography and an interview are the basis of the methodological procedures of this text.
