O MUSEU COMO ENSAIO CONTEMPORÂNEO
reificação, reanimação, metamorfose e sobrevivência

Our theme addressed two aspects of the Museum without Walls of André Malraux. The photo book as methodology for art history and the posthumous life of the art object in the Museum. The first aspect started the reflection on the reproducibility of art associating Malraux to Walter Benjamin. The second aspect pointed to the consequences of posthumous life of the art object in the Museum and the concept of the afterlife (Nachleben) by Aby Warburg. As a goal, the article turned to mapping of sources relating to the discussion and reviewed the essays and theories revealing critical strategy. The result established criteria, based on the analysis and interpretation of speeches that guide a reflection on contemporary art.
