Abstract

This text presents part of a doctoral research in which the event is proposed, a concept formulated by Gilles Deleuze, as a possibility of work philosophy for the teaching of Visual Arts. School meetings are thought of as “event-classes” which, with their intensity, move thought and creation in this area of teaching. In this way, thinking and creating are like movements that arise after some kind of “shock” or provocation. Something or someone takes us from where we were, causing us to put ourselves into action to understand or invent something new. Then, it is a question of thinking about reconfigurations and new ways of perceiving and displacing time, space, and materials for classes, taking advantage of what we have, here and now.
