This article presents to the Brazilian public the work with theater for children developed by La Baracca/ Teatro Testoni Ragazzi in Bologna and the region over 45years. Based on an interview granted by its creator and coordinator Roberto Frabetti to the researcher, an overview of the context of creation and development of the group, the creative work with the children, the teacher training they carry out, the joint work with primary schools and early childhood education, city halls and the efforts in management and promotion of cultural policies for children undertaken by the group.
