Abstract

This work reports on an art teaching experience carried out in a state public school in Ceará, which mobilized students and the school community, especially some teachers, around processes that transcend art and its teaching, bringing about poverty and social inequality as front lines and art as an instrument of social transformation. As an object, an artistic intervention project, carried out by the author from 2015 to 2019, with the city as the stage for public and collaborative art, justified both by indifference to poverty, and by the growing need to find ways out of the Brazilian social collapse. Here is an important instrument for the personal and social training of adolescents, supported by the subjectivity of art teaching.
